The MTB 2021’s first stage will take place on Friday 14 of May. Set along the wild southern coast, the course is only 45 kilometres long, but has 600 metres of elevation gain. The course is undulating and technical and is reduced to a monotrack in several places, offering riders a bit of a challenge.

The stage will kick off at Shandrani Beachcomber at 7:30 a.m., with riders cutting across sugar cane fields at Omicane before reaching Mauritius’ southern-most tip between Bel Ombre and Souillac, then heading towards the finish line via Bel Air and Savinia.
